The Forage Cafe Opens…
Supporting your community has never been so delicious!
“I love providing healthy grab-n-go options for my community. It is a great way to achieve our mission and reach even more people.”
– Gaabe Zamora, Forage Program Director
Imagine if you could help your hungry neighbors receive nourishing meals simply by purchasing lunch. That’s the inspiration behind Forage, a new side brand of Meals on Wheels New Mexico. And, thanks to your support, that vision is an exciting new reality!
MOWNM proudly opened the Forage Café at Presbyterian Northside in July. The Café is home to two Forage vending machines. Each machine offers locally sourced, freshly prepared salads, sandwiches, beverages, and snacks.
As Chief Strategy Officer, Dennis Plummer, stated: “This is a triple win. It’s easy access to fresh foods for [hospital] patients, their families, and medical staff. [Forage supports] local farmers and partners, and the proceeds support people who need a local home-delivered meal.”
Machines are already at Presbyterian Rust and Kaseman hospitals, with more locations coming soon. Forage is another way caring donors like you can support the MOWNM mission and help to end hunger among your neighbors in need.
