Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque Announces Promotions

ALBUQUERQUE – January 17, 2023 – Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque announces the promotions of two employees – Dennis Plummer is Chief Strategy Officer and Tanja Jenkins is Chief Operating Officer. The duo joins CEO Shauna Frost and Chief Advancement Officer Renee Ruybal in managing the organization.

Jenkins began her involvement with Meals on Wheels as a board member and marketing committee chair before joining the organization as Program Director in 2016. Since joining Meals on Wheels, she has helped lead the organization on its performance excellence journey, receiving its first Performance Excellence award in 2018. She has also been instrumental in the management and enhancement of their operational performance year over year, helping to develop and integrate best-in-class processes and procedures which have allowed Meals on Wheels to achieve and maintain 300% growth since her arrival. Jenkins holds an MBA in Operations from the University of New Mexico and is a 2019 recipient of the Albuquerque Business First Women of Influence Award.

As Chief Strategy Officer, Plummer works to build mutually beneficial relationships with related service providers to expand meal delivery services to underserved clients throughout New Mexico.  Prior to joining the Meals on Wheels team, Mr. Plummer served for 15 years as CEO of Heading Home, an agency providing housing and services to people experiencing homelessness in New Mexico. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wheaton College.
