We are excited to announce that we have just received a challenge grant of $25,000 from the Carl C. Anderson, Sr. and Marie Jo Anderson Charitable Foundation, which will be used to support our Low Income Medical Meal program. This program provides free and subsidized meals to those in Albuquerque who are poor, homebound, and require a specialized diet due to medical issues. The promise of these funds comes at a pivotal time for Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque as we are looking to expand this program, thereby reducing the number of sick and homebound people who are going hungry in Albuquerque.
For every dollar and cent that Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque raises in support of this program, the Anderson Charitable Foundation will match those funds dollar for dollar, cent for cent. Please know that monies contributed during this time will have double the impact—double the hope that we can give to our clients, many of whom are struggling with hunger and poverty.
Please consider making a donation today and know that your philanthropy is an investment: a gift that will pay dividends in health and well-being to our clients all across Albuquerque. Double your impact… Every dollar donated is doubled, up to $25,000, through a matching grant from the Anderson Charitable Foundation.
